Thecus Technology's New 10G NAS Stands Up to Business' Storage Needs

FREMONT, CA: Thecus Technology Corporation, a provider of network attached storage (NAS) and network video recorder solutions, launches two next-generation NAS to handle the critical storage needs of businesses.

Both the new products - N7770-10G and N8880U-10G NAS have been incorporated with an Intel Core-i3 2120 3.3GHz Processor, 8GB DDR3 ECC RAM and a 10GPCIe card. Both the NAS is powered by the Thecus OS5 software, a comprehensive and intuitive web-based operating system designed for advanced data management. Being compatible with high capacity SATA drive, the NAS provides cost effective scalability.

With the snapshot technology in 10G NAS, users are able to capture point in time copies of data using the B-tree file system (btrfs) to conveniently restore the system. It has been equipped with disaster recovery solutions that include Data Guard for real-time remote or local backup, bundled acronis true image for client data backup and system disaster recovery, and backup to cloud services including DropBox, ElephantDrive, and Amazon S3. For data security and protection, NAS is integrated with Intel Security.

The two Thecus NAS are synced using Heartbeat software to support high availability (HA) for preventing server downtime. When one NAS experiences issues, the other NAS will take over operations during which the master NAS will be automatically resynced and brought back under the umbrella of full HA protection.
