Supermicro Announces SuperServers for High Computing Solutions

FREMONT, CA: Supermicro announces the launch of its new 1U TwinPro SuperServers targeting high availability head node and security appliance applications. The dual hot-swap node architecture boasts new 900W/1000W redundant Titanium Level high efficiency hot-swap Power Stick modules with each node capable of supporting dual Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 processors, 4x hot-swap 2.5” HDD/SSD drive bays and dual 1GbE, dual 10GBase-T, single FDR (56Gb/s) IB or 100GbE options.

The solution offers improved serviceability with compute nodes that are cableless and easy for technical staff to access. The benefits are enhanced with advanced storage and networking features that include 1G / 10G Ethernet or 56G InfiniBand, and 4x 2.5" SAS 3.0 (12Gbps) drive bays per node.
